Galaxy Watch、Galaxy Watch Active、Galaxy Watch Active 2 和 Galaxy Watch 3，在系統更新後將會獲得新功能，當中先進跌倒偵測功能會登陸 Galaxy Watch Active 2 和 Galaxy Watch 3，當手錶感應到用戶嚴重跌倒後，系統會自動向預設的聯絡人發送 SOS 求救，訊息包括當前位置，用戶可以在 60 秒內點擊螢幕，馬上發送或取消發送求救訊息。
部份舊款 Galaxy Watch 會獲得新的群體挑戰功能，用戶可以選擇與朋友或家人，以組隊或互相挑戰的方式去完成運動鍛煉目標。Samsung 暫時未明確透露，是否所有 Galaxy Watch 型號都可以獲得此功能。多達 10 款原本隨同 Galaxy Watch 4 推出的錶面設計，亦會透過更新向舊款 Tizen OS 手錶提供。Samsung 亦同時宣佈 Galaxy Watch Active 2 和 Galaxy Watch 3 將會支援 Samsung Health Monitor，這程式原本只對應 Galaxy Watch 4 系列。
